Jennifer Ma – President
About Me: Combining my psychology and nursing background, I spent the majority of my earlier years focused in EMS and managing CME programs for a non-profit health organization. During that time, I dedicated a few years to overseas missions: from providing medical aid in Japan and Thailand to helping young women and girls, many of whom were recovering from the aftermath of sex trafficking, in Cambodia. Shortly after returning from Cambodia in 2008, I was introduced to medical communications and gained a diverse range of therapeutic experiences including anti-inflammation, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, glaucoma, dry eye, pulmonology, and oncology. In 2016, I founded Meraki Consulting based on my strong desire to build from scratch something primarily centered on providing the greatest service infused with integrity for both our clients and team. I’m constantly humbled by the commitment shown by my team here at Meraki and proud of their perseverance in going above and beyond for our clients each and every day.
Interesting Facts: I’m a blessed mother of two very energetic children, named Jackson and Peyton, and love kickboxing.
Meghan Kissling – Director, Client Services
About Me: Despite having held various positions throughout my career, including editorial, creative and client services, I am a strategist at heart. The diversity in my professional experience and skill set allows me to understand how different aspects of projects come together, thereby providing our clients with customized plans to best fit their needs. This is what I love most about what I do: solving problems and creating solutions for my clients. I thrive on the challenge of gathering what I understand about our industry and taking it to the next level, which enables me to continually learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
Interesting Facts: I have a giant, man-sized dog named Elvis, and I am an avid runner.

Courtney Luke, PhD – Head of Scientific Services
About Me: My early interest in science led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biology at Whitman College, followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology at Edinburgh University. I also later completed two postdoctoral appointments, in dermatology and skin cancer, at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center and Columbia University respectively. In 2012, I left academic science and benchwork behind to follow a new career path in medical communications. I have since worked on a wide variety of exciting accounts including: ophthalmology, pain management, GI, women’s health, and pulmonology. My main goal in Meraki is to make the science behind a product understandable and approachable for everyone, which creates educated and well-informed advocates.
Interesting Facts: I was born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii and was neighbors with Bruno Mars.
Samantha LoBue: Senior Manager, Meetings & Events
About Me: My passionate interest in event planning led me to attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Having enjoyed the scholarly study of communication so much, I decided to pursue my M.A. in Critical-Cultural Communication also at Western Michigan University, while also teaching undergraduate courses and conducting research. I started my career in the medical communications field in 2014. My educational background combined with my strengths in event management enable me to effectively execute plans for my clients, thereby maximizing their opportunities for KOL advocacy. I very much enjoy providing this high level of service to my clients while working alongside the brilliant and supportive team here at Meraki.
Interesting Facts: I’m on a sailing team and dance for the color guard. I also make amazing mojitos!
